About the walkabout

Big Walkabout Carouse! began with a simple idea: every local pub, taproom and corner lounge is a little piece of a place's story. Collecting them — one honest visit at a time — is a wonderful excuse to explore.

What makes it different

• Any place on Earth. A hamlet, a county, a country. Challenges can overlap, and a visit counts everywhere it applies.
• Real visits only. Stamps need a live location check at the door, and reviews need a stamp.
• Privacy first. Your coordinates are checked and forgotten. Notes and photos are private until you say otherwise.
• Honest numbers. We tell you when an area's total is approximate.
