Est. for wanderers everywhere
Every street has a story. Go collect them.
Big Walkabout Carouse! turns any town, region or country into a friendly challenge of pubs, taprooms, wine bars and lounges — stamped only when you've truly walked through the door.
How the walkabout works
Pick a patch of the world
A village, a county, a whole country — overlapping challenges are welcome.
Stamp it on the spot
Check in only when you're really there, using a one-time GPS reading you approve.
Keep a journal
Add photos and notes — private by default, shareable when you choose.
Earn your badges
Celebrate milestones for places visited, never for how much you drink.
Honest about coverage
Venues come live from Google's Places search. No search can promise every establishment, so progress for big areas is shown as "found so far" and labelled approximate. Live searches use a paid, quota-limited API — we fetch what you ask for, when you ask.
